Had the Kevo for about 1 month now and its been working to perfection, no complaints! In the future I would like to see an advancement in this technology to be able to lock/unlock the bottom knob as well. Im not comfortable only locking the top lock when gone for Long periods but when I need to make a short trip, I will just lock the top since my car is push to start as well...which is convenient for me to touch to get in. Also hopefully advancements will allow it to have a smaller back part so I can eventually add one to my screen door!!!

Update- Fobs and some ekeys not recorded in history. App crashes when tapping preferences. No way to force a Kevo gateway refresh to really see if your door is locked or not. Contacting there support is aggravating. Sent detailed explanation on issue with all the steps I took to try and resolve the crashing app issue. The response back was a list of things to do that I stated in my initial ticket request. I responded back and they again sent me the same list. No support at all. A month after me opening a ticket I received an email saying they will look into the app crashing. Sadly still no resolution.

The app has its quirks but the battery life was fine on my iPhone 5S and iPhone 6. Now with my iPhone 6s it destroys my battery life. Ive uninstalled reinstalled the app and it persists.

My wife purchased this for me so the family could have access to the garage via mobile whilst protecting our trash. Once installed I found out that we must upgrade or purchase eKeys to get all of the family access. After spending several hundred dollars, this is terrible. We would not have purchased this lock if we had known the details of the eKey.

I had this product for a week and regret wasting my time and energy. I was really excited about this because I hoped it would be a solution to my teenage son constantly forgetting his key at home and being locked out. I also liked the idea of not having to dig in my purse at night to find my keys to get inside my house. Set up was a nightmare when it came to my sons phone he was never able to accept the key I sent him, I kept getting an error saying no internet connection both on LTE and wifi, only when I set him up as the owner did his phone work which was unacceptable. I tried to send my mom a key just to test it on a second device and had the exact same issues. It only worked on mine and my husbands phones. I also didnt like that I always had to pull my phone out of my pocket wait minutes for the phone to find the lock and then press the button on my phone to unlock the door, it just took way to long. I am returning it and going with a keypad lock instead that a friend has and loves. Overall I loved the idea of this product but it did not meet my expectations or my needs.

The app closes on the iPhone. If you dont constantly open the app again it doesnt work. This is such an inconvenience and pretty much the he same thing as fumbling around for a key.

The printed documentation is not up to date with the software, so calibration and setup are done a bit differently than expected. Once calibrated correctly! It works great. Everyone in the house has their own eKey, and we have free key fob for guests that stay longer than a couple days or that dont have a smart phone.

It seemed like we could lock and unlock the door away from home and let people in and out and have a history of who came in and out. This lock and app do not do that. You have to pay $99 to regut the lock. Nope not happening when the original price was $239. So it works and my hubby doesnt have to remember an actual key. We like it a whole lot for giving family and close friends specific keys or a fob to house sit for us. I would recommend it to friend and family.

I got Kevo plus so I could check my locks and control them from any place. Unfortunately the app doesnt work over the Internet. I have to go to the Kevo website in order to control locks and thats just an extra pain. I informed Kwikset of the problem and they said theyd work on it, but that was quite a while ago and still nothing. Two weeks after I informed them of the problem I called in to check on their progress, but they were too busy so they took my phone number but they never returned my call. Sometimes the Kevo plus locks up and needs to be reset before I can control the locks remotely, but I cant very well reset it Im not home when it locks up. I have received incorrect lock status on occasion, and sometimes it takes three or four touch attempts before the lock actuates. In my opinion they should give us a 50% refund as payment for all the beta testing were doing for them.

App keeps crashing. Totally useless. Im using an actual key again, which defeats the purpose. Dont waste your money or time. I would give it zero stars if I could.

Other smart locks dont charge for keys. Very anti-customer policy. Im defecting to August. Im sick of the CONSTANT error messages. Every time you open the app you have to click through a series of error messages. Yes, Kevo. Sometimes Im further than Bluetooth range away from my door. Thank you for reminding me. Also, the lock is ugly. Terrible device. Feels utterly unsupported, like the app is falling behind.

Im using iOS 9, and now I can use kevo.

Very good app and locker. I just have one issue that the dev team can fix. I live in Brazil, and the notifications dont come in right timezone, and theres not setting on the app for that.

Sorry but I can always get my keys out of my pocket and open the door long before kevo does. When it works.
