Kevo App Reviews

Kevo app seems to be shutting of just before the phone dies. (Power consumption is way up after last update). You then have to manually restart the Kevo app every day otherwise it won't open door. Prior to iOS release 10.2.1 this never happened and I could always open the door very reliably. Is anyone else having this problem. Why is Kevo shutting down app, it says it's exiting right before phone shuts down. There is no option to auto start Kevo App when phone reboots.

The iPhone app. is terrible!!! Any time my phone is even slightly cool to the touch (it's 3C outside today, the phone was in my down-filled pocket), the app crashes and then my phone shows that the battery needs charging and shuts down. We were locked outside for half an hour today. Not impressed at all.

App crashes as soon as you select preference. Please fix problem. Beside this bug, lock and app works A-1. Ifttt chanel would be usefull.

Work 10% of the time. App need to stay open, etc

I have had this product (two doors) installed and in use for one year now. I highly recommend you do NOT buy it. Frustrations between installation, daily use and app issues. Very expensive and poor performance. I wish it were a better product, the idea is great but they got it wrong.

Im not sure why there are so many negative reviews; I dont have any of the problems these others have. It makes me wonder if they actually set it up correctly. I love it. Not only is it useful for many reasons, its also...well, cool! Its fun to use, and every once in a while they release an update that adds new functionality! My only gripe is that they havent given us an AppleWatch app yet...

After I place my password in the app crashes. How do I get in my house now? Fix the glitch!!!

I Need to open the apps Every Time I Need to use. Not Work in background.

The best lock I have multiple rental properties and these are the best thing in far as Im concerned.

Its very slow to unlock and lock. The Bluetooth always looses connection and Im always restarting the app. I wouldnt recommend this product.

Ive had my Kevo lock for about two years now and its been great. now my location services are running CONSTANTLY, even when the app isnt open. ridiculous. fix it!

The kevo app is using up all my battery life in ios9. Its using about 50% of my 6s battery. Look forward to an update.

My lock wont open unless the app is open and active on my phone. Even then it can me multiple times and several minutes to get into my house. Not a key replacement for sure!

When I first got it it was all great and working perfectly fine but after about four months every time I wanted to unlock the door it would say that the Internet connection would be bad and it would not work at all. I would have to delete the app and then re-download it for it to work which takes about 20 minutes so Im standing outside my door for 20 minutes.I know for a fact the Internet connection is perfectly fine because when I look up it says full bars of Wi-Fi. Dont buy completely useless and doesnt work

The lock generally works as intended and is a useful convenience when your hands are full or are managing kids. Its not perfect though: 1. The lock is slow to recognize my phone from my pocket, takes about 4 seconds. 2. The app is draining %13 of my battery daily - thats a lot of background activity. 3. Im hugely concerned about reports of the app crashing and leaving people locked out. Seems like you can only use this for convenience, never as a replacement for keys.

The lock has been performing very nicely. But this app uses 31% of battery in the background on daily average. This cant be right. Ever since I started using Kevo, my phone can barely stay on before bed time.

I love the idea of it... but definitely needs some mayor work: It locks and unlocks by itself when I’m close (with my phone). I upgraded to the kevo plus and sometimes its not updated when you see the logs (sometimes says is locked when is not and vice verse). So please make me come back here to change my review!

This app has to many bugs. If they could it fixed this would be a great app. But it crashes too often and stops working randomly, very frustrating.

This lock is great. A lot of fun using your phone to lock and unlock the door. My only issue is that hopefully no one tries to break into my house in the 1:30 + it take to lock the door with my phone. I know you can lock it by hand but why pay $150 for a lock you have to lock manually. Hopefully this is improved with time and we have a great Bluetooth lock but until then I have to give it three out of five stars.

Horrible!! This app does not work properly! I have been trying to activate the key and keep Getting an error message. I have tried re-downloading the app and re-accepting the key as admin, but it does not work. There are some serious flaws and defect I. The app! And I found the lock unlocked when I came home!! What a waste of money this was!
