So much potential that its painful to experience the limitations

I just added Kevo Plus and I have no idea how my phone is talking to the lock or if it is actually talking to the lock. The gateway currently says my door is locked when I can clearly see its not. History is hit-and-miss. When someone locks the door, I generally get a notification that the door is locked. However, I rarely get notifications of the door unlocking. I think its because the phone is switching from mobile data to WiFi but I cant imagine why it didnt occur to the product team that the message should be cached until it could be sent. How hard is that? Two more crappy experiences that should not exist for a smart phone and a smart lock: 1. The lock should have enough brains to keep a log of key fob unlocks and sync that with the owners phone when in range. 2. Removing a fob from the lock shouldnt require a complete clearing of the lock. Why do I need to re-add phones when I erase a fob? I love the idea. I love the concept. I get the feeling that someone dismantled the development team as soon as the product was released.

Best lock ever

One of the best locks ever. Its ability to open and close. Even to put others is important. I wish adding more people were free.

It is not accurate at all! & I have the KEVO+!!

I open the door and the app wont know that the door is unlocked even after update. I unlock it from the app and then lock it, it does lock the door but it says error connecting and again shows unlock! But now the door is lock!?

With this app it seems like I have to always put the password in every time I want to get in the house. Why is that? Its weird

It works, sort of

It does work but its slow. It does have 2 major issues: 1. With Kevo Plus it wont let you select which locks to control via Bluetooth. One of the 2 locks in the house is too far for the Plus to connect to, so the App should use Bluetooth but it wont. So Im unable to control one of the locks. 2. No way to tell the battery level of the locks via the App - this is beyond frustrating. I find out the batter level is low because my family tells me the lock sounds sick. Would be nice to know via the App/notification BEFORE the lock starts acting badly.

Massive iPhone battery use

Ok app - sluggish but does work. However, seems to eat up about 15% of my iPhone charge every day. Ridiculous for an app that I probably use for a total of at most 20 seconds

I was very surprised at how well this device works. It takes some time to set up properly, but once in service it is an excellent product.

Connectivity is bad.

When it works it is great. I spent my the money to purchase the gateway to improve connectivity, I was wrong. I have been sitting about 4 feet away from the lock and 5 feet away from the gateway. The wireless router is about another 5 feet away from the gateway. I have Internet connection but keep getting the message no connectivity when I try to use the app to unlock the door. When I am next to it opening it manually I then notice the app updates and is now connected. I have never had much of a problem getting in from the outside. A few times I had to get the phone out and place it next to the lock for it to work.

NEVER works for me. Glad I dont need it!

Kevo is handy

Love the product and was fairly simple to install. Do have an issue with it locking every time I walk by it without touching it.

Constant locking issues; Remote capability would be nice

Has constant locking/unlocking issues; many times it says theres a jam w/ the deadbolt when theres not. Sometimes my iPhone is no where near the door & something random can set off the deadbolt to unlock itself...definitely a problem Im not happy about. Being able to remotely (not just within home wi-fi range) lock/unlock would be exceptionally great. I absolutely regret ever purchasing Kevo.

App is worse now

I have owned two kevo locks for over a year now. The original app works ok. The updated version got much worse. First, it always attempts to connect to the lock without prompt, which is a bad assumption. I used the key mostly when I am not at home. Second, the history view often doesnt refresh in time nowadays, make it hard for me to know the current status of the lock. I give it a 2 star mainly to recognize that the previous version actually works. With these most basic functions not working reliably, any type of bells and whistles is just a waste. The development team needs to reassess its priorities. As an iOS developer, I can easily offer you some advice. Thanks for listening.

I love my smart lock. It works great. It works great with the fob and decent with the app. Its improved over time. But the connectivity between Nest is a problem. Sometimes it will set it away and sometimes it wont. Also, the app crashes when I try to go to preferences now. Im on 9.3. Ive tried multiple times with reboots too. Please fix this app!

Product is a joke!

This product is so much problems! First i had to replace the product because of a broken cable. Now the app crashes anytime i want to open it... Result: i cant open my door anymore... Except with my physical key ! ... Its is clearly not what you except when you spend so much money in kevo + kevo plus... Just buy a regular lock. Its cheaper and at least it works... I feel totally ripped off !!! I wont buy a kwickset product ever again!!!

I JUST bought my Kevo last week and now my app crashes. How am I supposed to open my door with my app crashing?! The point of this app and product was so I didnt HAVE to pull my keys out to get inside my house. Please fix this!!!!

Have had The lock for almost a year now all of a sudden the app is just been crashing and only working on one device out of four in the home cannot reset password online cannot log into the app to change anything dont know whats going on
