Ive had Kevo now for a year. I agree its a love/hate relationship.
Love: No monthly fee to unlock or lock my house from my smart phone (anywhere - I own Kevo plus)
Kevo has a simple interface, no networking knowledge needed to set it up.
From the outside the lock looks like any lock you buy at Lowes or Home Depot
Battery life is good for the system
Cons: ekeys require guests to have Kevo accounts.
ekeys that last past 24hours are at a charge.
The touch feature on the lock sometimes acts "crazy," own one and you will know what Im talking about.
Battery life for fobs isnt that great and fobs are cheap plastic.
Deadbolt metal is low end.
Kevo Plus worked great for the first month but then errors periodically.
Pros: Battery life, Kevo plus, no monthly bill!
All and all I like the system and do recommend it but they need to work on the entire system
ItsDlite about Kevo
